Onboarding

On accepting our clients offer, we will support you with advice on handing in your notice, completion of relevant documentation, and preparation for your first day.  We understand that the first 3-6 months of starting a new job can be the toughest, so we pencil in 3, 6 and 12 month reviews to make sure you are happy.

ACCOUNTS SENIOR, ACCOUNTANCY PRACTICE, STOCKPORT, £28,000

MAP Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an Accounts Senior on behalf of a large independent accountancy practice in Stockport.

 

Working Hours: Full Time- 08:30 to 17:15 Mon-Thu, 08:30 to 16:30 Fri

Salary Range: £22,000 to £28,000 (depending on experience)

Benefits: Full study support is available, 20 days holiday per annum, plus three days for Christmas shutdown and bank holidays.

 

Our client, a large independent accountancy practice is actively looking to recruit several people into their business.  One of the key positions being an Accounts Senior at their Stockport office.

 

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing management accounts and year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Drafting Corporation Tax computations and liaising with their tax department
  • Plan and carry out some audit work
  • Liaising with clients generally to resolve queries
  • Assisting in the development of junior staff
  • Preparing time and fee budgets as appropriate
  • Ensuring all assignments are completed within the allocated budget and to deadlines
  • Preparing cashflow forecasts for small businesses

Your Background and Experience:

  • You will either be part qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
  • Previous practice experience is essential along with audit competence
  • You must be IT proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage. Experience of Xero would be a distinct advantage
  • You will be experienced in the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Have a good knowledge of tax compliance issues and be interested in identifying tax planning opportunities
  • Experienced in the preparation of cashflow forecasts and business plans, and in the preparation of management accounts would also be an advantage

Remuneration Package:

For the Accounts Senior position they are offering a starting salary of £22,000 to £28,000, depending on experience. On top of this you will receive full study support if necessary. Your holiday entitlement will be 20 days annual leave plus statutory public holidays and three days for Christmas Shutdown.

SALES MANAGER, BIRMINGHAM, £60,000

MAP Sales & Marketing are recruiting for a Sales Manager on behalf of a machinery and equipment supplier based in Birmingham, UK.

 

COMPANY DETAILS

The company employs close to 800 people with turnover in the region of £600m.  They supply machinery and ancillary equipment to a large list of Blue Chip companies across the UK, operating within several industries including Oil and Gas, Industrial, Manufacturing, and Construction.

They are looking for a Sales Manager within their Oil and Gas division to manage key accounts while supporting their organic growth.

 

THE JOB DETAILS

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for both new business and key account management, with an emphasis on the latter.  Main clients being Main Contractors and Operators within the Oil and Gas industry.  You will be based in their Birmingham office, and your geographical client base will mainly be within the South of England.

Your focus will be on solution selling, supplying directly to the end customer.  This is a very technical sales role that will involve FEED studies.  If FEED isn’t something you are familiar with then it is unlikely that this position will be suitable for you.

This Sales Manager position is a senior role within the business, being part of their Leadership Team and playing a key role in the strategic growth and development of their Oil and Gas division.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB

1. You should be able to demonstrate a successful sales career within the oil and gas industry

2. With this being a technical sales role, having an engineering background would be preferred

3. Experience in FEED Studies

4. Strong ability within account management

 

SALARY DETAILS

SEMI SENIOR ACCOUNTANT JOB DETAILS

This Semi Senior Accountant position has arisen due to the increased work load and general growth of the company, so it is an exciting time to join.

You will be involved in the preparation of accounts for companies of various sizes, and you will be expected to spend time in the clients office when necessary.  The Senior Accountants and managers will give you a job plan on a weekly basis but the workload can be varied.  You will be expected to prepare, review and submit VAT returns, and carry out some audit work from time to time.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and developing a range of electro mechanical products

Your Background and Experience:

  • A proactive mechanical product design engineer with experience of electro-mechanical products and assembly
  • A relevant mechanical degree, with aspects of electronic and electrical engineering being an advantage
  • Experience in design from concept, development through to production handover
  • 3D design experience ideally using Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong communication, with some project management/leadership experience being of benefit

They are looking for someone that’s passionate about engineering and product development, with excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills.  You will need to be able to work independently and want that autonomy, while being interested in leading a team and taking on project responsibility when necessary.
