Positive Outlook for 2017

Positive Outlook for 2017

A quick message from our Managing Director!

2016 was the start of our journey as MAP Recruitment Group Ltd, and the group as a whole has taken shape fairly quickly.  The last 6 months have flown by and I am happy to say that starting my own business within the field I love has been the best thing I have ever done within my professional career.   Running a business is stressful but it gives you lots of perks.  The biggest perk for me is the fact I have been able to create a business that I would want to be a part of.  I don’t want to be tied to a desk making hundreds of calls a day for the sake of making calls.  I don’t want to start every week thinking I have to achieve those monotonous KPIs again.  Those KPIs end up turning into targets and for the fear of not achieving those “four client interviews” or “four vacancies per week”, corners are cut and quality jeopardised.   At MAP we don’t measure ourselves on how many CVs are sent, or how many minutes are spent on the phone.  We just focus our attention on building strong relationships with people and delivering great candidates to our clients.   Of course we have performance indicators but these are more strategic and measure the delivery of our goals rather than just the goals themselves.  We want to be able to give people the tools to over achieve and reap the great rewards that we have to offer, including owning shares within the group.   At MAP we work flexible hours and we let our people work from home when they need to.  We also offer some great benefits including 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, birthdays, and the Christmas period off.  There is also the opportunity to be a shareholder within the business based on performance.   The future will bring with it some fantastic opportunities for us and we will be looking to expand the teams throughout 2017 and the foreseeable, so I am always interested in talking to people who want to be part of our journey.   Looking forward to a great 2017 and beyond.
John White, Managing Director.
